Our client is seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon with a focus on advanced soft tissue surgery to join their flagship 24-hour hospital located in East London. This position offers an opportunity to step into a purely surgical role, managing an exciting and varied caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform surgeries ranging from general practice to referral level, including SUB placements, liver resections, and thoracic procedures.
  • Collaborate with an experienced team of theatre Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) to deliver exceptional surgical care.
  • Work 40 hours per week, inclusive of a weekend rotation, and provide support during two bank holidays annually.
  • Utilise state-of-the-art equipment, including multiple cautery units, harmonic scalpels, and a full laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, and endoscopy kit.
  • Contribute to the hospital’s first opinion, emergency, critical care, and referral services, supported by a network of over 20 branches.

Candidate Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will hold a certificate or advanced practitioner qualification in surgery and possess experience in ultrasonography.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary range: £80,000 to £110,000 (FTE), commensurate with experience and growth potential.
  • 6.6 weeks of annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays.

  • Up to £2,000 CPD budget annually, with up to 5 days of paid CPD leave.
