Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity in Southampton, Hampshire

  • Our client is seeking a confident and experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a focus on small animals.
  • This permanent position offers the chance to consult, perform routine surgical procedures, and occasionally handle sole charge responsibilities.
  • A candidate with a medical bias or an interest in imaging or cardiology will find opportunities to grow these areas, backed by the practice’s support and investment in equipment and ongoing CPD, including certification.
  • There is also the potential to expand the existing exotic caseload, though this is not mandatory.

  • The flexible schedule includes morning consultations and operations, followed by a lunch break and administrative time.

About the Practice

Located in Totton, the practice is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and advanced equipment to cater to diverse pet needs. Known for extended working hours, it ensures accessibility for pet owners. The skilled team is committed to continuous learning, offering regular training and development opportunities.

We are well-equipped with an ASIF kit and air drill, BOAS surgery instrumentation, dental X-ray, ultrasound, Tonopen, and a multiparameter monitor in the theatre. We also benefit from the services of peripatetic orthopaedic surgeons, such as RATA, to treat patients in-house, and can refer any complex cases to our local specialist centres.
