Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity in Ruislip, Greater London

Our client is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving practice located in the historic town of Ruislip, Greater London. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a focus on work-life balance.

The Hours:

  • Full-time applicants preferred, working 40 hours per week over 4 days.
  • Weekend rota of 1:3, working Saturdays (9 am-6 pm) and Sundays (10 am-4 pm).
  • Flexibility to consider part-time applicants.
  • No out-of-hours or bank holiday work

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with RCVS registration.
  • Ideally, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in small animal practice.
  • Competence in routine surgeries for small companion animals and basic experience with exotics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for animal welfare and high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

More About the Practice:

The practice is situated within the Pets at Home store and provides free parking for staff and clients. The team consists of 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Nurses, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant, and 3 receptionists, all of whom share a variety of interests, including soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. The surgery is bright, spacious, air-conditioned, and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities such as a digital X-ray machine, ultrasound, multiparameter monitor, electrosurgical unit, and Idexx lab machines. Ruislip offers a blend of suburban charm and convenient access to central London, making it an ideal location for a balanced lifestyle.
