Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity in Brentwood, Essex

The client is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their independent, small animal and exotic practice located in Brentwood, Essex. The practice welcomes candidates with a preference for surgical roles, complemented by consulting work. Ideal applicants will possess 3-5 years of post-graduate experience, showcasing strong surgical skills and knowledge.

Key Details:

– Type: Permanent position

– Start Date: ASAP

– Location: Brentwood, Essex

– Team Structure: The practice consists of 15 members, including 3 vets, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), 3 Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs), 1 Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA), and 2 receptionists.

– Facilities: Equipped with digital X-ray, Ultrasound, in-house lab (idexx), Dental suite including X-ray, and a CT machine.

Role and Responsibilities:

– Primarily surgical-based duties with some consulting work.

– 40 hours per week over 5 days.

– Weekend work required 1 in 4 full weekends (Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 9am-2pm).

– No out-of-hours, sole charge, or branch work.

Qualifications and Experience:

– At least 3-5 years of post-graduate experience.

– Proficient in surgical skills and knowledge.
