Our client is seeking a capable and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their independent, vet-owned small animal practice located on Devon’s picturesque Jurassic Coast. This practice is known for its high standards, honesty, and respect towards patients, clients, and colleagues. It operates without corporate pressure or unnecessary upselling, focusing solely on quality veterinary care.

Who are they looking for?:

• Due to the caseload, they are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 4 years of small animal experience.
• You will have competence in routine surgeries and diagnostics, with a willingness to advance skills through CPD and peer tutoring.
• Ability to consult to a high standard, using consults to build friendly and trusting relations with pet owners.
• Sociable and enjoys the camaraderie of a small, close-knit team.

What the role entails

• No out-of-hours requirements.
• Flexible working hours: full-time or part-time, 1-4 days per week.
• Work location at Sidmouth and/or Colyton branches.
• Clinical freedom with 20-minute consults.

• The practice is RCVS Small Animal General Practice-accredited to GP standard.

• It operates across two fully-equipped sites in Sidmouth and Colyton.
• Equipment includes a laparoscopic spaying facility, dedicated theatres, digital X-rays, high-end Doppler ultrasound machines, capnography, and digital tonometry.
