An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a team in Barnsley, Yorkshire. The team is transitioning their clinic into a 24/7 hospital and is looking for a passionate professional to contribute to this transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload during night shifts.

– Perform emergency procedures and surgeries as required.

– Collaborate with Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) to ensure seamless patient and client services.

– Communicate effectively with the day team staff to maintain consistent patient care.

– Engage in continuous learning to apply the latest veterinary practices.

The Ideal Candidate:

The clinic encourages applications from all veterinary surgeons, particularly those passionate about community veterinary care. The ideal candidate should possess the following:

– Qualified Veterinary Surgeon registered with the RCVS.

– Strong background in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC).

– Ability to handle a fast-paced and varied caseload with competence and empathy.

– Excellent communication skills for building trust with pet owners and colleagues.

– Commitment to the mission of reducing financial barriers to veterinary care.

– At least 1 year of experience in a UK practice.
