About the Role:

The client is seeking a capable locum small animal veterinary surgeon to support clinical demand over the summer and autumn period. The role will involve consulting and operating, along with case work-ups using in-house diagnostics and imaging. The successful candidate will be confident with first-opinion small animal caseloads and will contribute to a collaborative clinical environment. Flexible hours are available and the team will accommodate preferred working patterns where possible.

The locum will manage routine and urgent cases, communicate clearly with clients, and work closely with the nursing team to ensure continuity of care. Experience with standard surgical procedures and anaesthesia is expected. The practice values evidence-based medicine and continuous improvement, so the vet should be comfortable engaging in clinical discussions and maintaining accurate medical records.
