• The client is seeking a capable small animal locum to provide sole charge cover.
• The locum shall work 3–4 days per week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, managing consultations, routine surgeries, and day-to-day case continuity.
• The role suits a confident Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable working independently and making sound clinical decisions.
• Ad hoc days are available through November and December for candidates seeking additional shifts. Support from a nursing team will be available on-site.

About the Practice:

The practice is based in a market town setting and provides a comprehensive first-opinion service, from vaccinations through to orthopaedic procedures. Facilities include an in-house laboratory, digital X-ray, and ultrasound to support efficient case management. The clinical team comprises two experienced Veterinary Surgeons and four nurses within a wider six-person unit. The practice opens six days a week and forms part of a larger group, which provides access to professional collaboration and development resources.
