About the Role:

The client is seeking a locum Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to cover a defined rota across October and November, with day shifts and a week of nights. Day shifts include Friday 10 October (9:00 am–7:00 pm or 8:00 am–6:00 pm), Wednesday 15 October (9:00 am–7:00 pm), Thursday 16 October (9:00 am–7:00 pm), Saturday 25 October (9:00 am–5:00 pm), Thursday 30 October (8:00 am–6:00 pm), Saturday 1 November (9:00 am–5:00 pm), Sunday 2 November (9:00 am–5:00 pm), Saturday 8 November (9:00 am–5:00 pm), and Wednesday 12 November (9:00 am–7:00 pm). Night shifts run Monday, 27 October to Sunday 2 November (7:30 pm–7:30 am).

The role will involve consulting, routine procedures, and collaboration with the clinical team to deliver timely care. Confidence with small animal caseloads, clear communication, and efficient case management will be required. The locum will work within established protocols and will contribute to continuity of care during extended opening hours.
