Key Details:
- Working Days: Full-time or part-time considered, 4 days per week with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings
- Hours: 40 hours per week across 4 days, no OOH
- Duties: Balanced mix of consultations and surgery, with flexibility to tailor caseload
- Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum FTE, dependent on experience
About the Role:
- The client is seeking a confident small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a first opinion team delivering high standards of care.
- Ideally, 3-5 years UK experience however, confident vets with less experience may be considered
- The caseload is varied and will typically include one day of surgery, one day of consultations, and two mixed days.
- There is scope to develop advanced surgical skills and train with very experienced vets in the local sister hospital
- There is no out-of-hours commitment, and Saturday mornings are worked on a 1 in 3 rota to support work–life balance.

- The successful candidate will be a confident GP vet
- An interest in developing advanced skills will be supported with extensive CPD.
- The role suits an individual who enjoys teamwork, case discussion, and building long-term client relationships.
- Wildlife and exotic presentations are seen, offering optional variety for those with relevant interests.

About the Practice:
The 2-site practice has served its local communities for over three decades. Facilities include two theatres at the main site with a glass link, digital X-ray, dental radiography, ultrasound, vista scanner, and in-house laboratory equipment. The team includes five Vets supported by experienced nurses and client care colleagues.
