Key Details:
- Working Days: Full-time or part-time considered with flexible patterns
- Hours: 40 hours over 4–5 days, 1:4 Saturdays 8:30 am–2:00 pm, optional 1:15 Sundays 8:00 am–7:00 pm paid extra, no nights
- Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum, reflective of skills and experience
- Duties: Balanced caseload of consultations and surgeries, with scope to bias towards inpatient care or surgery
About the Role:
- Our client is seeking a capable Veterinary Surgeon to join a Tier 3 RCVS-accredited hospital team.
- The role will be based entirely at the hospital to promote continuity of care.
- The successful candidate will manage a varied small animal caseload with an equal split of consulting and operating.
- A bias towards inpatient care or surgery may be supported.
- The rota includes a 1:4 Saturday and no nights due to a dedicated night team.
- There is paid optional Sunday daytime work.
About the Candidate:
- Candidates will be RCVS registered with at least two years of general practice experience.
- They will be confident with routine neutering for cats and dogs, including flank spays, standard dental procedures, and 15-minute consultations.
- They will be able to perform abdominal ultrasound, TFAST, and AFAST, and undertake exploratory laparotomy, splenectomy, GDV, gastrotomy, and enterotomy without support.
- The team welcomes discussion of individual clinical interests and will support further study, including certificates.
