About the Role:
The client is seeking a capable Locum Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to provide cover across selected dates in October. The role will include a balanced caseload of consultations and routine procedures, with the option to contribute to orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery depending on experience. The successful locum will work within a supportive clinical team and should be confident with first-opinion small animal work. Participation in the practice rota will be required, and candidates should be comfortable collaborating with nursing and administrative colleagues to ensure continuity of care. The practice operates an out-of-hours emergency service, so a degree of flexibility would be valued.
About the Practice:
The practice is a well-equipped small animal clinic serving the local community in and around Clydach. Facilities include an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, and digital x-ray, supporting efficient case work-up and patient care. The veterinary team comprises four experienced Veterinary Surgeons, supported by dedicated nursing and administrative staff. The practice opens six days a week and offers a comprehensive first-opinion service, with particular interests in orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. The team engages with local community initiatives and maintains a strong commitment to wildlife care, fostering a collaborative and patient-focused environment.
