Key Details:

  • Dates: Starting January/February 2026 to cover 12-month maternity leave
  • Working Days: 4 days per week with equal rota for daytime in-patient care and occasional weekend and bank holiday support
  • Hours: 10-hour shifts between 7:30 am and 7:30 pm with a 1-hour lunch break, totalling 40 hours per week
  • Duties: First opinion and referral nursing, inpatient care, support with emergencies on a rota, and occasional cross-site support
  • Salary: £26,000–£33,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Role:

  • The client is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a collaborative team.
  • The RVN will contribute to first opinion and referral care, encompassing medical and surgical cases, advanced diagnostic imaging, and rehabilitation.
  • The position provides clinical freedom and scope to develop areas of special interest.

About the Rota:

  • The rota is designed to support work-life balance. It comprises a 4-day working week with 10-hour shifts and a protected lunch break.
  • Weekend and bank holiday work is shared on an equal rota, with two days off in lieu for weekends worked.
  • There is no routine out-of-hours, except rare last-resort backup to a dedicated emergency team.

About the Candidate:

  • The successful candidate will hold RCVS registration and a valid driving licence.
