About the Role:

The client is seeking a competent locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide cover across specified dates in late September and early October. The role will involve a balanced caseload of consulting and routine surgery, with the opportunity to contribute to more advanced cases depending on experience. The successful candidate will work 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on the listed days, delivering consistent clinical care and supporting the wider team in a busy small animal environment. Candidates should be comfortable managing common medical and surgical presentations, communicating clearly with clients, and working collaboratively with nursing and clinical colleagues.

About the Practice:

The practice is a large, modern small animal surgery accredited under the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme. It offers free consultations alongside vaccinations, neutering, dentistry, and comprehensive medical and surgical care. Advanced services include orthopaedic surgery and access to a vet with a special interest in feline medicine. A newly expanded 24/7 Pet A&E provides continuous emergency support, complemented by an on-site laboratory, four theatres, dedicated wards, and isolation facilities. The site benefits from on-site client parking and operates with no eligibility criteria, supporting accessible care for the local community.
