Our client is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive and experienced team working across two well-established practices in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to advance their career in a collaborative and progressive environment.
About the Role:
- The role involves working at two locations within Peterborough. Both locations offer free parking and easy accessibility.
- The practice operates with a strong team spirit, prioritising exceptional care for pets and their owners.
- Open to candidates with a surgical bias or those preferring consultation-only roles.
- Full-time or part-time candidates are welcome.
- Full-time work involves four longer days per week, with a weekend rota:
- 1:8 full weekends (Saturday 9 am–5 pm, Sunday 10 am–4 pm).
- 1:6 half weekends (Saturday 9 am–2 pm).
- Part-time candidates must also participate in the weekend rota.
- No out-of-hours work; bank holidays are shared across the team.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified Veterinary Surgeon with RCVS registration.
- Ideally, a minimum of one year’s experience in small animal practice, comfortable with routine consultations and surgery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for animal welfare and high-quality patient care.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
Benefits and Salary:
Salary up to £60,000 p/a (dependent on experience and full-time equivalent).

About the Practice:
The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, dental suite, and surgical theatre. The team comprises 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Student Nurses, and a dedicated administrative team. Team members hold various certifications in internal medicine, cardiology, ultrasonography, consulting, anaesthesia, and emergency care. The practice also offers acupuncture, physiotherapy, and BOAS surgery.
