- The client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their team for maternity cover, with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time role.

About the Hours:
- This is a full-time role.
- The practice operates six days a week, with no out-of-hours work required.
- Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturdays, 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
- Out-of-hours care is referred to trusted external providers.
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of small animal practice experience.
- Fully registered with the RCVS and authorised to work in the UK.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to demonstrate resilience under pressure.
- Strong time management and record-keeping skills.
- Effective communication and mentoring abilities.
- Organised, dependable, and professional in appearance.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage effectively with clients.
- Proactive, creative, and self-motivated, with a willingness to seek assistance when needed.

About the Practice:
The practice is a full-service veterinary centre offering preventative healthcare, diagnostics, and surgical procedures for family pets. It is currently staffed by five Veterinary Surgeons (3 FTE), four Registered Veterinary Nurses, one student nurse, and three receptionists. The practice is well-equipped with an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, and ultrasound facilities.
The practice is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025, with exciting developments underway, including the construction of a new, modern facility set to open later this year. This new space will feature a separate cat waiting room, a dedicated imaging room, and separate recovery wards for cats and dogs, providing an enhanced working environment and room for further growth.
