About the Practice
The practice is an independent, state-of-the-art facility offering a full range of small animal services. With a diverse caseload that includes general practice, fertility, and emergency care (ECC), the practice prides itself on providing modern treatments and exceptional veterinary care. It features excellent facilities, including an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, and ultrasonography. The team comprises experienced veterinarians and a strong support staff, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality care. Conveniently located in a community-friendly area with ample parking, the practice also operates its own out-of-hours service covered by a dedicated team.
The Role
This is a permanent, full-time role for a Veterinary Surgeon, working as the second vet under the guidance of the Head Vet. The role offers a varied caseload and the opportunity to work in a modern, purpose-built environment.
– Hours: 4–5 days per week, including:
– 8:30–5:30, 10:30–7:30, or 9–7 on sole charge days.
– 1 in 3 weekends (two days in lieu provided during the week).
– Participation in the Bank Holiday rota (days in lieu provided).
– Caseload: A mix of general practice, fertility, and ECC cases.
– The role involves occasional sole charge responsibilities.
Experience and Skills Required
– A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience.
– Strong clinical skills across a varied caseload.
– Confidence in sole charge situations when required.
– Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
