Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal Practice – Romford, Essex

The client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their well-established small animal practice in Romford, Essex. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work with a dedicated and supportive team in a state-of-the-art facility.

About the Practice

The practice is purpose-built to industry-leading standards and equipped with modern facilities, including two operating theatres, ultrasound, digital radiographs, an in-house laboratory, endoscopy, and a CT scanner. The team comprises 13 Veterinary Surgeons, 12 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 10 Student Nurses, and 10 Receptionists. The practice operates seven days a week and provides 24/7 onsite care through a dedicated day and night team. Located in Romford, the practice benefits from excellent transport links, with central London reachable in 25 minutes and the Essex countryside in 20 minutes.

The Role

The successful candidate will work full-time across four weekdays with a weekend rota of one in six full weekends and one in six Saturdays only. Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate. The role involves a varied caseload, requiring confidence in routine surgical procedures, diagnostic skills, and occasional sole charge. Candidates should have at least three years of UK veterinary experience, with significant expertise in internal medicine.
