Key Role Details:
- The position is designed to accommodate flexible working hours, whether full-time (8 am–7 pm, four days per week) or part-time, with some participation in the Saturday rota.
- There are no Sunday, bank holiday, or out-of-hours (OOH) requirements.
- Competitive salary of up to £30,000 per annum, pro rata, reflective of skills and experience
Candidate Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will be a conscientious individual with a strong work ethic, motivated to build rapport with clients and integrate into the team. They should be willing to take on the role of a clinical coach immediately or in the future.
- The client is seeking a dedicated and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to develop veterinary nursing skills in a supportive environment, with a focus on work-life balance and career progression.
- The team encourages professional growth by supporting individual passions and fostering knowledge sharing. Several Registered Veterinary Nurses are currently pursuing certificates in areas such as medicine, anaesthesia, and surgical nursing.
The role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Conducting nurse consultations.
- Assisting in theatre work.
- Performing schedule 3 procedures (if desired).
- Observing and monitoring animal health.
- Preparing equipment for treatments and procedures.
- Administering treatments and preparing medications.
- Caring for and cleaning up after animals.
- Communicating with clients regarding their pets’ status.
- Acting as a clinical coach to Student Veterinary Nurses.
About the Practice:
- The practice is a small animal-only organisation operating across four sites, with its main surgery located in Hartlepool, a coastal town offering access to beautiful beaches, countryside, and historic cities such as Durham and York.
- Established in 1950, the practice is well-equipped with modern facilities, including ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray, and endoscopy/laparoscopy. Plans are underway to relocate the main surgery and include advanced diagnostic tools such as CT.
