Our client is seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to lead a skilled and dedicated nursing team at their well-established practice in Waltham Forest. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), students, and Veterinary Care Assistants (VCAs).
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical standards and client care.
- Foster the professional development of the nursing team through mentorship and training.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a solid level of clinical experience, be confident, self-motivated, and possess strong interpersonal skills. A commitment to supporting the growth and development of the team is essential.
Working Pattern
- Four days per week.
- Nine-hour shifts.
- Participation in duty nights.
- One in four weekends.
Salary: The salary range for this role is £33,000 to £40,000 p/a, reflective of skills and experience.

About the Practice:
Our practice is part of a large, independent, family-owned veterinary group with a nationwide presence. It is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, and ultrasound. The team comprises one Senior Veterinary Surgeon, four Veterinary Surgeons, and six Registered Veterinary Nurses. Clinical specialities include imaging, exotic pet care, and BOAS surgery. With a 50/50 canine and feline client base, the role offers an opportunity for those with an interest in feline medicine.
