This is a part-time opportunity, offering the chance to work 2 or 3 days per week in a supportive and collaborative environment. Our client is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their team at a busy hospital in Chichester and a thriving branch clinic.
About the Role
- The successful candidate will work as a first-opinion GP Veterinary Surgeon, delivering exceptional care across two well-equipped facilities.
- The practice prides itself on its warm, welcoming atmosphere and personalised approach to patient care.
- The role involves collaboration with an on-site night team and an Advanced-Practitioner referral service, ensuring seamless 24/7 care for patients.
The Hours:
- The standard shifts are 10 hours, with various start and end times between 7:30 am and 7:30 pm, including a one-hour lunch break.
- Ideally, the schedule will include Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, but flexibility can be discussed to ensure fairness across the team. For the right candidate, a 2-day schedule (Tuesdays and Fridays) may be considered.
- The role includes participation in weekend, bank holiday, and on-call rotas, to be agreed upon collaboratively.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of small animal practice experience, with at least 1 year in the UK.
- Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS).
- Strong alignment with the practice’s values, which include humility, respect, empathy, work ethic, honesty, communication, and teamwork.
- The practice is open to considering a consult-only vet for this role.
