Our client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for consultations and preventative care to join their independent, employee-owned practice in Maidstone, Kent. This role is ideal for a vet who thrives on delivering exceptional medical care, building strong client relationships, and managing cases with continuity, without the requirement to undertake surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- To work a 4-day working week, with a share of Saturday mornings.
- Deliver gold-standard medical and preventative care to small animals.
- Build lasting relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor for their pets’ health needs.
- Manage busy consultation blocks with a high percentage of clients enrolled in preventative healthcare plans.
- Utilise in-house and external diagnostic tools to support effective case management.
- Collaborate with an in-house referral network and visiting specialists for advanced diagnostics and treatments.
The Candidate:
- MRCVS qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- A genuine enthusiasm for consultations and client engagement.
- Confidence in diagnostics, case management, and preventative care.
- Strong communication and empathy skills.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- A positive, collaborative approach to teamwork.
