About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their independent, small animal practice located in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to work within a supportive and friendly team of 13 veterinary surgeons (7 FTE) and 14 nurses, 10 of whom are registered veterinary nurses. The practice is less than five minutes from the beach and also operates a small branch surgery in Frinton-on-Sea.
About the Practice:
The practice is an independent, RCVS-accredited nurse training facility with ISFM and RWAF accreditations. It has undergone a complete refurbishment and extension, including the addition of separate cat waiting and consulting rooms. The practice is equipped with modern facilities, including a new dental x-ray system, an ultrasound machine, a video-endoscopy, a digital x-ray, and an advanced in-house laboratory. The team includes a dermatology certificate holder and a soft tissue surgical certificate holder, ensuring a high standard of care. The practice places a strong emphasis on client experience, patient care, and team collaboration.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate should be experienced and competent in surgical procedures, including routine neutering, dental treatments, lumpectomies, and diagnostic imaging. They should be confident in independently managing cases and committed to working them up to completion or appropriately handing them over to colleagues. Strong communication skills with both clients and colleagues are essential. The client is looking for a team player who values collaboration and strives to provide the best care for patients.
