Our client is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly and knowledgeable out-of-hours team. The role is based in the beautiful Somerset area, close to the coast and the rolling Quantock Hills. The practice sees a variety of small animal cases, including exotics and wildlife.

This Clinic provides emergency out-of-hours services for local veterinary practices during nights, weekends, and bank holidays. The clinic is based in the RCVS-accredited Quantock Veterinary Hospital. The team is supportive and has a great sense of humour, with regular social events.

Role Details:

• Salary: £18.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Part-time: average 6.75 hrs/week over an 8-week rota (Friday, Saturday, Sunday evenings only)
• Hours: 16.00-23.30 must be covered
• Option to cover shifts for sickness and holiday on other days of the week

Duties:

• Key responsibilities include managing telephone calls, arranging appointments, and triaging patients upon arrival at the hospital.
• This allows the remaining team to have dedicated time for inpatient care and consults as needed.
• You will also support the night team, working alongside another RVN, a twilight ACA, and an on-site veterinary surgeon.
