About the Role:
- The client is seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to guide a capable small animal team. The role will suit an experienced clinician who values accessible veterinary care and who is motivated to develop colleagues through coaching and mentoring.
- The Lead Veterinary Surgeon will work closely with the Practice Manager and Lead Nurse to set clinical standards, nurture a supportive culture, and ensure high-quality patient care. Responsibilities will include delivering staff meetings, contributing to clinical governance, and reviewing operational metrics such as KPIs and P&L to support site performance.
About the Candidate:
- Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical experience and effective communication skills.
- Leadership capability is required, with management experience desirable but not essential.
- An interest in operational performance and a willingness to hold or obtain VetGDP accreditation is expected.
- The position offers a balanced 4-day working pattern and the opportunity to shape clinical practice while remaining hands-on with a varied caseload.
