About the Role:

The client is seeking a capable locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide weekend cover across two consecutive weekends. The role will include consulting with small animal clients, handling routine medical cases, and undertaking minor procedures as required. The successful candidate will work within a supportive environment, liaising with the nursing and reception teams to ensure effective case management and client communication. Confidence with small animal first-opinion work and the ability to work independently during set hours will be expected.

About the Practice:

The practice delivers comprehensive small animal care, ranging from preventative health to diagnostics and surgical treatments. Facilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory to enable timely decision-making. The team comprises experienced veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support staff who collaborate to provide consistent patient care. Usual opening hours run Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, and Saturday, 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, with this locum role dedicated to specified weekend sessions.
