– Duties: General nursing across consults, theatre, inpatient care, and support for orthopaedics and soft tissue cases

About the Role:

The client is seeking a reliable Registered Veterinary Nurse to provide locum cover across set December dates. The role will include a balanced rota of theatre, inpatient care, nurse consults, and laboratory tasks. The nurse will support a team of experienced veterinary surgeons on a range of cases, including orthopaedics and soft tissue procedures. Confident patient triage, safe anaesthesia monitoring, and effective client communication will be required. The nurse will maintain high clinical standards, ensure accurate record-keeping, and contribute to smooth daily workflow.

About the Practice:

The practice is a well-equipped small animal clinic in Clydach with an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, and digital x-ray. It operates six days a week and provides an out-of-hours emergency service. The clinical team comprises four experienced vets supported by nursing and administrative staff. The practice manages a varied caseload and holds a particular interest in orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. It engages with the local community and maintains a strong commitment to wildlife care.
