  • Working Pattern: Full or part-time
  • Hours: Weekdays 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturdays 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Rota: 1 in 4 Saturdays, no out of hours
  • Salary: Up to £32,000 p/a reflective of skills and experience
  • Duties: Nurse consults, inpatient care, anaesthesia monitoring, schedule 3 tasks where appropriate, collaborative case support across three sites

About the Role:

  • The client is seeking a registered veterinary nurse to join a supportive team working across practices in Ayrshire, including Ayr, Irvine, and Kilmarnock.
  • The role would suit an experienced RVN or a newly qualified nurse.
  • The nurse will deliver high standards of clinical and client care, run nurse-led consults, monitor anaesthetics, and provide inpatient care.
  • The team will support further development in areas such as acupuncture, pain management, behaviour, and Schedule 3 procedures.
  • A Clinical Nurse Manager, senior nurses, and an RVN business partner are in place to provide guidance and advocacy. Rotas and benefits are tailored to individual needs, and flexible working is available.

About the Practice:

The practice operates modern, state-of-the-art facilities with digital x-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitors, fluid pumps, blood pressure monitors, and an in-house laboratory. Services include orthopaedics, cardiology, and exotic pet care. The wider Ayrshire group is led by four partners and a multidisciplinary team that values mutual respect, open communication, and work-life balance. The clinical team comprises veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, GPD-trained clinical leads, and clinical coach RVNs, ensuring support across sites.
