About the Role:
The client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team in a well-established, RCVS-accredited practice. This opportunity offers a fantastic work-life balance with no out-of-hours responsibilities and the chance to work within a supportive and professional environment.
Hours and Rota:
- The position involves a 37.5-hour workweek, with 7.5-hour shifts Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 19:00.
- Weekend shifts are on a 1:7 rota, with hours from 08:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays and 09:00 to 16:00 on Sundays, with a day off in lieu and overtime paid for Sundays.
- This role does not include out-of-hours work as it is covered by an external provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Rotating between theatre, circulatory nursing, inpatient care, and consulting.
- Conducting regular nurse clinics and performing Schedule 3 procedures where confident.
- Supporting and mentoring students as part of a Veterinary Nurse training practice.
- Providing exceptional patient care and client service.
Candidate Profile
- The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering high clinical standards and excellent customer care.
- They will value teamwork, enjoy variety in their role, and be committed to professional development.
- Experience with large animals is not required, though opportunities to assist in this area may be available if desired.
About the Practice
The practice operates across two sites in East Yorkshire, providing a mix of rural and city life. Accredited to General Practice standards for Small Animal, Farm, and Equine, the practice is also an ISFM Silver-accredited Cat Friendly Clinic. The team is committed to delivering high-quality care through a range of services, including preventative care, diagnostics, and surgical procedures. Facilities include an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, and ultrasound.
