The client is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their well-established small animal practice in North West London. This permanent, full-time position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive team with clinical freedom, provided it maintains high standards and improves current practices. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience and be comfortable mentoring junior vets.

The practice prioritises thoroughness and attention to detail, catering to insured, high-end clients with a strong human-animal bond. The role involves working 4 or 5 days per week on a rota basis, with shifts from 08:00 to 18:00 or 09:00 to 19:00. Weekend work is required one in every three weekends, both Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 16:00, with time given back in lieu. There are no out-of-hours requirements.

The practice offers a negotiable salary depending on experience and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities on a case-by-case basis. The team comprises 1.5 vets, 4 nurses, 3 receptionists, and 3 cattery assistants. The practice uses visiting specialists in ultrasonography, orthopaedics, complex soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and cardiology.

The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, and ultrasonography. It provides a comprehensive approach to animal healthcare, operating seven days a week to ensure flexibility in scheduling.
