– Working Days: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week, preferably across 4 days

– Hours: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

– Salary: £29,000 – £31,000 per annum, reflective of skills and experience

About the Role:

The client is seeking a caring and proactive Veterinary Care Assistant to support a busy small animal team in South West London. The role will focus on delivering calm and safe patient care before, during, and after treatment while supporting veterinary nurses and veterinary surgeons with clinical and non-clinical tasks. Core responsibilities will include assisting with patient restraint for procedures, preparing patients for treatment, and monitoring recoveries. The VCA will maintain a clean and organised clinical environment, undertake laundry and sterilisation of equipment, uniforms, and bedding, and support sample handling including preparing laboratory submissions and running in-house blood tests. The role will also include reception duties, client communication, and routine administrative support. This position would suit a candidate with a genuine interest in animal care who wishes to develop skills in a supportive and progressive setting.
