Key Details:

– Working Days: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week, preferably across 4 days

– Hours: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

– Salary: £35,000 – £37,000 per annum, reflective of skills and experience

– Duties: A varied mix of inpatient care, anaesthesia monitoring, clinical tasks, nursing clinics, laboratory work, hygiene maintenance, reception, and accurate record-keeping

About the Role:

The client is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly and progressive team in South West London. This permanent role offers a varied caseload where no two days are the same. The RVN will admit and discharge patients, monitor anaesthesia and recovery, and assist veterinary surgeons with procedures. Independent nursing tasks will include blood sampling, IV catheter placement, and dental scaling. The nurse will run nursing clinics and undertake laboratory duties, including running samples. Maintaining hygiene standards through laundry and autoclaving is expected, alongside up to five hours of reception duties per week. Accurate record-keeping will include inpatient notes, anaesthetic monitoring sheets, and insurance paperwork. The practice will support CPD and career progression, enabling the development of clinical interests within a supportive environment.
