The client is seeking a capable locum Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to support scheduled cover across November and December. November may be consulting only, allowing the clinician to focus on appointments, client communication, and continuity of care. December will require a vet who is confident with routine surgery and day-to-day case management. The rota is flexible, with specified November dates and broad December availability excluding Thursdays. The role suits a clinician who is adaptable, organised, and comfortable working within an established team and workflow.

The locum will manage consultations, routine procedures, and case follow-up. They will liaise closely with nursing and administrative colleagues to maintain service standards and timely patient care. The practice operates six days per week and provides an out-of-hours service, so flexibility and collaboration will be essential for seamless handovers. The clinician will be expected to uphold clinical governance and maintain accurate records.

About the Practice:

The practice is a small animal clinic in Clydach with an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, and digital x-ray. The clinical team comprises four experienced vets supported by skilled nursing and administrative staff.
